
Qualcomm has announced the new mid range 600 series processor the Snapdragon 675.A new xiaomi device is also expected as the Xiaomi India head confirmed that they will soon launch a phone with SD675.The processor is a upgrade to the popular Snapdragon 660 and snapdragon 670.So Let's have a look at what Snapdragon 675 brings to the table.
Snapdragon 675 Processor Specifications and Features.
The new 600 series processor is manufactured based on Samsung's 11nm LPP Technology and comes with a powerful Adreno 612 GPU.The architecture is based on Kryo 460 CPU which features 2 high performance cores clocked at 2.0 Ghz and 6 power efficient cores clocked 1.7Ghz.
Compared to the Snapdragon 670 SoC, the new Snapdragon 675 SoC is mentioned to offer 30% faster game launch time & 35% faster web browsing. For imaging, the chipset uses the older Spectra 250 ISP but with support for triple camera setup. Samsung started deploying the tripel camera setup in the mid-range segment with the Galaxy A7 (2018) smartphone and more brands should soon with their own triple camera mid-range smartphones.
It processor also supports 4K recording at 30fps and 4K Video Playback.The new chipset will offer enhanced gaming with selected games including popular titles like PUBG & Crossfire Mobile.A few games will support gameplay at 60fps on this mid-range chipset.
For connectivity, we have 802.11ac 2×2 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, and the Snapdragon X12 LTE modem for 600Mbps (Cat 15) downlink and 150Mbps (Cat 13) uplink (the Snapdragon 710 features the X20 LTE modem for 1.2Gbps DL). As for memory, expect up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM (2×16-bit, up to 1866MHz) on Snapdragon 675 devices. Finally, you’ll also find the expected Aqstic audio codec and aptX audio playback, as well as Quick Charge 4+ for faster charging speeds.
